Eagles Of Death Metal At The Enmore Theatre 2023 – GooPdf News

On Thursday 27 July 2023, Sydney’s Enmore Theatre welcomed one of the most influential rock bands in recent years, as Eagles of Death Metal took over the venue in full Palm Desert style.
Following a set by Perth’s Southern River Band, the venue slowly started to fill in, the security meassures were in full force as well, with metal detectors and bag searches, something that became obvious after the terrible events the band experienced back in November 2015, when a gunman killed over 90 innocent people during the band’s performance at the Bataclan Theatre in Paris.
Around 9:18 Eagles of Death Metal finally jumped on stage (minus Josh Homme this time), with their iconic energy and electric guitars, and with a frontman like Jesse Hughes totally owning the stage.
The band performer hits like Got a Woman, Cherry Cola, I Only Want You, ending the first part of the show with a cover of David Bowie’s Moonage Daydream. The night closed with some good fun that included Jennie Vee’s bass cover of Motorhead’s Ace of Spades and a very odd take on Speaking In Tongues that included some inflatable men.
