Sophia Bush and husband Grant Hughes split appears to be confirmed with the actress changing her name and removing him from all social media.

Reports came in that the pair were going their separate ways and Sophia had filed for divorce a month after their year anniversary.

The One Tree Hill actress removed Hughes from her name on Instagram, changing it back to her maiden name.

Additionally, Sophia purged her accounts of any pictures of Grant from their three years together.

According to an insider the divorce is said to be amicable as the pair had been friends for 10 years before getting together.

Sophia and Grant, both 41, began dating in 2020 and announced their engagement a year later on Instagram.

Her post celebrating their first anniversary on June 11 was also deleted but she had shared pictures from their wedding.

‘Best decision of my life. It still feels just like this. Ecstatic. Running toward the future, grinning and laughing, together. I love you, my favourite. Happy Anniversary,’ Sophia wrote.

Grant also posted a love letter to his wife alongside some snaps of their romantic day at the City County Clerk’s Office.

‘What a full, beautiful, dynamic, exciting, growth-filled year we’ve had together. I truly love doing life with you!’ he wrote.

‘As the card I gave you this morning said: “There are seven billion people on this planet. You are my favourite”.’

The pair run the Bush Hughes Foundation, which was set up after their marriage and supports communities in Olkahama’s Tulsa.

Part of the mission statement reads: ‘Now as we merge our lives and build our family together, we are establishing a family foundation to meaningfully give back to the city that is hosting all of us for our wedding.’

Sophia was married once before in 2004 to One Tree Hill co-star Chad Michael Murray but the pair went their separate ways after five months.

Years later she said: ‘We were two stupid kids who had no business being in a relationship in the first place. To all the other co-stars who’ve worked it out, more power to you.’
